Carr Mill Dam and Billinge Hill Day Walk

Note: Date has changed to Saturday 30th December. Attendees have been messaged.
We'll start the walk at Carr Mill Dam just outside St Helens. The reservoir is the largest inland body of water in Merseyside and from here we'll be climbing the highest hill in the county. Billinge Hill may not be particularly high at only 179m but because the surrounding area is so flat, on a clear day it offers great views towards Liverpool, Manchester and over the West Pennine Moors. We'll descend Billinge Hill through woodland and cross the border into Greater Manchester, finishing the walk at Orrell Water Park before we take the bus back to the start point.
In total the walk is about 6 miles.
