For the next in the series of ODL city breaks, we head west again, to the City of Bristol.
Bristol is the sixth-highest populated city in England. Bristol was a starting place for early voyages of exploration to the New World and the city-centre docks have been redeveloped as centres of heritage and culture.
One of the UK's most popular tourist destinations, Bristol was selected in 2009 as one of the world's top ten cities by international travel publishers Dorling Kindersley and in 2014 The Sunday Times named it as the best city in Britain in which to live.
Culturally, Bristol has so much to offer, not least as the original home of Banksy. There are over 4,000 listed building in the city and a walk across the Clifton Suspension Bridge is literally a high point of any visit to the city.
