This year's Trustee/Coordinator/Organiser Away Weekend will be held at the magnificent Georgian mansion of Hemmingford House. Set in three acres of grounds, the recently refurbished, Grade II-listed YHA hostel includes a new cafe, restaurant and renovated bar and is only two miles from Shakespeare’s birthplace with easy access to historic Stratford-upon-Avon.
We're inviting all our Coordinators and Organisers to join the Trustees and staff team for the weekend gathering. More information will be available nearer the date.
The aims of the weekend are:
- Reaffirm the relationship between Board-Staff-Coordinators in terms of tasks, workload and expectations.
- Allow Board and Staff space to listen and plan for the current and future demands of the organisation.
- Address questions, myth-bust and allow space for volunteers to ask questions about their roles.
- Give time for team-building/bonding/relationship forming.
- Thank volunteers!
IMPORTANT: We have to pay 'per person' for the accommodation so please only sign up for this event if you're certain you're going to be able to make it.
What to bring
As with all YHA properties, bedding is provided but you may want to bring your own pillow. You will also need a towel.
Food & drink
All means are included will be provided by the YHA. Dinner will be available from the restaurant on Friday and Saturday evenings; Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings and a buffet lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
There are a couple of nice pubs in the village where we'll likely retire to on Friday and Saturday nights with the option of a nice Sunday lunch (sorry, we're not paying for these bits!)
