Avoncliff Evening Walk

This is an easy 3 mile walk from the pretty town of Bradford on Avon to the charming riverside inn at Avoncliffe where we will continue with the local bi-monthly social event.
Our route takes us across the river and up through the quaint terraces and alleyways of the town before heading out above the valley, with river glimpses. Passing through the little village of Turleigh where time seems to have stood still and most houses are called 'The Old Something or other..' Then dropping down to our destination.
You are free to go home without staying on, or indeed just go to the social, but why would you! If you are staying on for the social, please register on BOTH events.
If you wish to go straight home there's an hourly train service from the little station at Avoncliffe, back to the start of the walk. After the social we will probably use a later train, or if it's a nice evening, walk back along the towpath.
You could bring a dog on this walk but it will need to be on a lead most of the way.
What to bring
This is an evening walk on tarmac and well used trails, ordinary footwear will suffice but please bring some warm clothes to sit outside by the river. Also, if it has been raining there may be mud on the canal tow path,
Food & drink
You can get both at the social afterwards
