A Weekend of Constable, Wainwright and Wordsworth

An area just bursting with mountains, hills, fells, lakes, tarns and some fantastic walks, not to mention a good pub or two!
Rydal Hall, harping back to the 17th century was the home of the Fleming family, who designed and created the stunning gardens that you can wander as part of our weekend. The gardens have been enjoyed by many over the years including famous painter John Constable, with his painting of the waterfall in the grounds. William Wordsworth whose early poem referred to The Grot, the small hut aside the river as a Rustic House with shrubbery and rocks all around.
With the beginning of the Fairfield Horseshoe nearby plus one of Wainwright's favourites in Loughrigg Fell with its stunning views of Windermere, we really are spoiled for choice.
A great hostel, in a great setting so do not miss out! Great times await you!
Dogs: Sorry, this event is not suitable for dogs.
