Join us for a 15km walk from Settle to Stainforth, exploring some of Yorkshire's hidden gems. Our adventure begins in the charming market town of Settle. As we head east, we’ll visit Scaleber Force waterfall, nestled in a beautiful wooded ravine. The cascading waters run over limestone steps create a picturesque setting, perfect for photography enthusiasts.
Next, we'll head around Sugar Loaf Hill to explore the intriguing Victoria and Jubilee caves, rich with fascinating limestone formations and historical significance. These caves offer a unique glimpse into the area's geological and human past. Continuing our journey, we’ll discover Catrigg Force, a secluded waterfall in a tranquil woodland glade. The twin plunges of water provide a peaceful spot to relax and appreciate nature's beauty.
As we approach Stainforth, we'll then encounter the Hoffman Kilns, remnants of the region's industrial heritage. These towering structures, once used for lime burning, stand as a testament to the area's history. This walk is a perfect blend of natural beauty and historical intrigue, making it an ideal walk. Join us and experience the wonders of the Yorkshire Dales!
When we finish we can grab a brew and cake from the Naked Man Cafe.
