Edinburgh Evening Walk
A walk from Haymarket in the west end to the Port of Leith, following the Water of Leith.
The walk is a popular route that crosses the north side of the New Town before heading into Leith; we start by passing Edinburgh Cathedral to the Balfour bridge, where we drop down to the riverside. The path starts surprisingly much like a woodland walk, in the city, before reaching the picture postcard area of Dean Village. We continue through Stockbridge and Warriston, brushing past Chancelot before arriving at The Shore in Leith.
Things to look out for include Herons, dippers and some Antony Gormley sculptures.
This is a linear walk - Leith is well served by Lothian buses and Edinburgh Trams back into Edinburgh city centre.
