Join us in the summer of 2018 to hike the best bits of this classic European trek for just £1230. Taking in three countries making an anti-clockwise circuit of Europe’s highest mountain we will be walking for six consecutive days and staying in catered mountain refuges for five nights. Make the most of our excellent European Alps and walk from France to Italy and onwards to Switzerland!
This is an iconic trip and rated as one of the top ten walks in the World due the impressive scenery and beautiful landscapes you will be travelling through. This trek is accessible to anybody who regularly walks in the mountainous areas of the UK. Our longest day is 24km with a height gain of 1100m that is achievable to anyone who is fit and active.
Our trip organizer (and OutdoorLads Member) Nick Read, is a qualified and experienced International Mountain Leader and expedition guide who has been working regularly as a walking guide in France and Switzerland. It is being run through his company Pride Expeditions. This event takes the best bits of a classic walk that can vary greatly in length and difficulty. It is a challenging event but a once in a lifetime experience that only takes a week to complete.
The price for this amazing trek is just £1230. That includes all accommodation during the trip, all buses, minibuses and cable cars we will use during the trek and all evening meals and breakfasts during the trek. You will need to pay for lunches and evening meals at the start and finish of the trek.
What to bring
Upon paying a deposit for this trip a full kit list will be emailed out to you. Bedding and food will be provided in the refuges during the trek but you will need to carry all the clothing and toiletries you will need for the duration of the trek. Please pack light!
Food & drink
In Les Houches and Chamonix we will be staying in Bed and Breakfast accommodation and eating evening meals in local restaurants. Whilst on the trek we will be staying in mountain huts called 'refuges'. Here the accommodation is half board and the hut guardian will cook a simple two or three course meal for us. The huts will sometimes provide our lunches and sometimes we will eat lunch in small restaurants along the route.
