1200 feet of descent over the length of the walk.

Join Phil on this 9.5 mile walk from the village of Clapham in North Yorkshire. From our starting point we follow Clapham Brook and take the Pennine Bridleway and Long Lane tracks. From this path we get stunning views of Thwaite Scars. We then cross the brook and pass the entrance to Ingleborough Caves continuing past a couple more cave entrances.

We then climb up to Long Scar where we will have stunning views of the whole area, and if a clear day this will include Ingleborough. From here we then drop down the other side of the scar heading towards the village of Wharfe. From here we head towards the village of Austwick but rejoin the Pennine Bridleway just before the village and head back to our starting point, going through the 2 tunnels by the church in Clapham.

For anyone who wants to, we will head to The New Inn in Clapham for a well deserved drink after the walk.
