A great way to spend a Sunday combining a relatively easy 6 mile morning walk enjoying the stunning scenery around Box Hill, combined with an afternoon visit to Denbies wine estate and the option of taking a Winery Tour.

Box Hill is a summit of the North Downs in Surrey, and around 19 miles south-west of London. The western part of the Hill is owned and managed by the national trust. An estimated 850,000 people visit each year to enjoy the stunning scenery and fantastic views. In 2012 Box Hill was also the site of the Summer Olympics cycling road race events, and the was the setting for the picnic scene in Jane Austen's Emma.

Denbies Wine Estate has been open since 1984, and has become one of the largest wine producers in the UK. There are 7 miles of public footpath which trail through the vineyard, and we shall have lunch in the Estate's cafe.
