12 miles along twisting, rocky, muddy coastal paths and rocky beaches

All ODL members welcome, this event limited to 5 people, because in addition, to those of us on this event page, there will be up to 27 people on the St David's hostel weekend participating in this event.

IF YOU ARE ATTENDING THE HOSTEL WEEKEND, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS EVENT, YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED.

Those wanting a challenge will leave the hostel at 9:00am starting with a fast, difficult scramble up the 181 metre high Carn Llidi hill behind the hostel, for an excellent view of the area; then scramble  out over the rocks onto St.David's Head and round to Whitesands Bay.

The sensible people will leave the hostel at 9:30am to stroll to stroll down to Whitesands bay. We'll all leave Whitesands bay at 10:15, following rough, muddy, rocky clifftop paths and crossing beaches along the coast, seeing Ramsey Island (in the distance), passing St. Justinians lifeboat station, going round Porthclais harbour to Caerfai Bay, then walk through the City of St. David's and back along minor roads  to the hostel. It's 12 miles (plus another 2miles for the people starting at 9am). Please bring a picnic lunch, snacks, drinks and a torch. If necessary, we'll shorten the route, to get to St. David's before it gets dark.
