Roughly 10 mile hike - at this time of year could be cold and muddy.

Spring has sprung so it's time to get the boots out from the back of the cupboard and join us exploring the south east corner of Dartmoor.

We'll be starting in the pretty little town of Bovey Tracey and then following country lanes, woodland tracks and the old Granite Tramway up to Haytor where will be aiming for lunch.

From Haytor, we'll then return to Bovey Tracey through Haytor Village and the National Trust Parke Estate.

This will be just over a 10 mile hike with around 1700 ft of ascent - mainly in the first half of the day as we climb up to Haytor.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome to join us on this event but we do ask the following:

If your dog is uncontrolled and strays in open land frightening other animals or livestock, the leader is supported by the OutdoorLads board of trustees to ask you to leave the event as this is not acceptable behaviour.
