The second of two day walks around the beautiful South Cornwall coast
This is a beautiful 8 mile circular route taking in another part of the SWCP. We'll start in the pretty town of Polruan before taking the boat over to Fowey (£3.50 each way, cash or card).
We'll then head out of the town and along the coast to Gribbin Head and it's striking daymark, passing sights including Readymoney Cove Beach, Saint Catherine's Castle and Coombe Haven. After the daymark things get a little easier and we'll continue to follow the coast before heading back inland along footpaths back to Fowey where we can enjoy a well-earned pint or cake. We'll then get the boat back over the river to Polruan and climb back up to the car parrk.
More information about the route can be found here.
Fancy making a weekend of it?
This is day 2 of a weekend of walks in the South Cornwall coast area. Day 1 is a circular walk nearby - Polruan & Lantic Bay Circular
I'll be camping at the lovely National Trust Highertown Farm campsite. Welcome to join me there for beers under the stars and maybe even a fire on the beach. Outdoorlads currently have a 20% off discount for NT campsites. More info here.
If you're not a camper there's plenty of accommodation options in in the area.
