Roundhay Park - Autumn Walk

Join Shaun and Mike for a relaxed 6.5km (4 miles) scenic autumn walk through one of Europe’s largest urban parks. Roundhay Park is a place where Leeds’ history, landscape, and culture all meet. From lakeside views and ornamental gardens to grand 18th‑century architecture and the echoes of world‑famous concerts.
We’ll set off from within the park and make our way around, visiting the folly built in the late 18th century as a summerhouse. This charming stone structure sits tucked above the lake and offers a glimpse into the park’s Georgian past. We’ll also see the Mansion, which overlooks sweeping lawns and remains a focal point within the park.
We’ll take our time, enjoy the scenery, and make the most of the park. There will be three opportunities for refreshments during the walk, so there’s no need to bring food, although you’re very welcome to do so.
Dogs are welcome on this walk.
If the event is fully booked: please join the waiting list as people frequently drop out during the week before an event, and you are likely to get a place on the walk.
