Join us for this afternoon event, where we will stroll around Poole's historic Old Town, spend some time exploring Poole Museum, and complete a short walk along some of Poole's picturesque quayside and harbour.
Poole has a rich historical heritage, and from the meeting point we will walk to Poole Quay to follow the short Cockle Trail, which takes in sites around the Old Town such as the boat yards, the Customs House and the Guildhall.
The short trail finishes at the recently refurbished Poole Museum (free entry). We'll have about an hour to spend looking around the museum, as well as possibly visiting its excellent cafe!
We will then complete a short walk (roughly 3 miles) along Poole quayside and through Baiter Park, with awesome views of Poole's beautiful natural harbour (the second largest in the world), before circling back around Poole Park lake. We end up back on Poole Quay where we can finish at one of Poole's historic pubs if people wish.
Please note this is a short, leisurely event, not a full day hike.
In the evening, there will be a Poole Social, also on the quayside - please sign up to that event separately if you'd like to attend that too.
