Peak District Outdoor Swim and Social

A mid-week gathering in the heart of the Peak District! We'll be heading to the outdoor swimming pool in Hathersage for a swim and relax before moving on to the local pub for some tea and a refreshing drink! 

The outdoor swimming pool at Hathersage is surrounded by great views, and is heated just like your local leisure centre, so even if it's not that warm out, we'll be comfortable swimming there. If it's the lovely Summer's evening I'm hoping for, (!!) we can have a good swim and a chill out by the pool and chat to fellow OutdoorLads, and then continue the conversation in the pub over some tea and perhaps a pint. 

Hathersage is very accessible from cities like Sheffield and Manchester, as it's on the railway line between the two cities. Easy to get to by car as well, with a pay and display car park directly opposite the swimming pool (£2.20 two hours; £3.30 three hours; £4.40 four hours.) So come and join in the fun! 

This is a public open swimming session (4:30pm - 7pm) so it may get busy, please try to arrive as soon as you are able, you will need to pay admission on the door of £6.50 (£5.50 for aged 65+, students and disabled, with proof) but bear in mind that the pool closes at 7pm and they do operate a one-in, one-out policy if it gets busy! I'll be there from 5pm, but feel free to arrive at whatever time suits you. I'll leave an OutdoorLads t-shirt out so you can identify us, meet by the poolside. 

Obviously, if you want to come but can't be there in time for the swimming, that's fine, you can just come to meet us for tea in the pub! Just e-mail me on liam.russell@outdoorlads.com if that's the case, so I know not to expect you at the pool and can tell you which pub we'll be at.
