🚢 Ferry Sightings: Newhaven → Dieppe
As you pass Newhaven Harbour, you might spot the DFDS/Transmanche ferries operating on the historic Newhaven–Dieppe route - the UK’s longest continuous ferry link to France, today carrying around 410,000 passengers a year, most of them tourists.
The ferries you’re likely to see are the Seven Sisters or Côte d’Albâtre, modern vessels branded under the Transmanche service and run by DFDS. This crossing has a remarkably long story, stretching back over 200 years.
