A 90km (55 miles) epic road ride along the Gwynedd coastline.
The route is here.
The route follows the Mawddach Trail from Dolgellau, crosses the Barmouth Bridge and climbs into the hills along the west coast, retuning via Trawsfyndd and country lanes around Coed y Brenin forest. Opened in 1867, Barmouth Bridge is a Grade II listed structure and is about 699 metres long.
This ride is part of a weekend of road and mountain biking taking part in and around Dolgellau. Will, the organiser will be staying at Torrent Walk campsite, which is bookable online and includes guest house accommodation (Dolgun Uchaf), a bunk house, pitches for touring caravans and campervans as well as plenty of flat ground for tents.

Sunday - 60km Road Ride
Sunday - 30km Mountain Bike Ride - Cross country
Pace and Terrain
On road, with a healthy dose of climbing. The Mawddach Trail is an old railway line of fine gravel. There will be sections of busy main road which can not be avoided, but the quieter sections more than make up it. The event pace and route is designed for road bikes rather than hybrids.
You do need reasonable personal fitness for this event. Broadly, anyone who has recently cycled over 40 miles and who has tackled some steep hills without too much difficulty will be able to complete this ride. It will be a long day so bring plenty of snacks and water.
