Join us for a day's outdoor climbing in Langdale.  We will climb on one of the great mountain crags in the area (probably Gimmer, Pavey Ark or Bowfell).  We will make a final decision on the day depending on the recent weather, weather forecast and what people feel like.  You can read about the crags on UKC here:

To attend this event you should have some prior experience of outdoor climbing, preferably with outdoorlads.  This is because the climbing available is mainly multipitch climbing, so involves an element of commitment not present when climbing on short single pitch crags - message the event leader if you have any questions.  Please note that this event is subject to change / cancellation depending on weather conditions so please check your email in the days before the event for any message from the event leader, who will keep you informed of any changes.

This event is part of the Langdale late summer camping weekend so we will meet at the National Trust campsite at 9:30am before making our way to the crags.  No transport is required to get to the crags from the campsite (you just walk).  Message me if you have any questions about transport options to get to the campsite (public transport is available).

As a BMC Affiliate member, Outdoorlads draws your attention to the fact that climbing is an activity with a danger of personal injury or death. You should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for your own actions and involvement.

Please note that every person participating should be aware of (and accept) that those members perceived as ‘in charge’ or leading the event are not necessarily qualified, do not need to be qualified, and are not regarded by OutdoorLads, or themselves as ‘technical experts’ but are amateur climbers with some experience and who are happy to impart their knowledge.  Any advice given should be considered with this in mind by the recipient.
