DAY SEVEN - Manchester to Lancaster

We are truly in the north now.  A relatively easy day after our night out in Manchester, 108km with 410m of ascent.  We head north-west through Preston and finishing in Lancaster.

If you fancy a break from cycling we are going past the British Commercial Vehicle Museum.

The route can be downloaded from here.

Friday 10th July accommodation suggestions in Lancaster:

  • plenty to choose from including Premier Inn, Travelodge and Holiday Inn.
  • Will and Jon have booked into the Waggon & Horses through Booking.com

Keep costs down by getting twin rooms and sharing.

Getting there and back again

If you are joining us for the day, the nearest train stations to the starting point are Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester Victoria, Deansgate or Oxford Road..

If you are leaving us in Lancaster, the nearest train station is surprisingly called Lancaster.

If you have any questions regarding equipment etc email Will.Allaway@Outdoorlads.com.

A lot of useful information is included in Day 0 - Getting to Lands End.
