Second of two walks starting in Alston. This walk makes its way along the South Tyne with excellent views of the village before rising to follow Issac's Tea Trail past Epiacum roman fort. Then it's down onto the former South Tynedale Railway alongside what is now the narrow gauge railway. At Lintley its across the line and under the railway viaduct to follow the South Tyne for a while before crossing it and heading on up the other side of the valley back to Alston and the former railway station, which is now the terminus for the narrow gauge railway.

For those that fancy it, we'll either visit one of the pubs or a tea room depending on finish time.
