Humbleton Hill, Tom Tallon's Crag and Broadstruthers Burn

A varied walk of 11 to 12 miles that includes one of the most manageable Cheviot hills (at 296m), remote moors and riverside.
Please note that on a recce of this walk it was necessary to walk through a field where there were cows. They were docile, but if you have a fear of them you should be aware that it may not be possible to avoid this part of the walk.
What to bring
A backpack, walking boots and a waterproof jacket, be it an over-jacket or a packaway one, are essential. It's advisable to bring waterproof trousers. Walking trousers or trousers that are quick-drying are recommended. (Denim is not suitable.)
It's advisable to bring a warm hat, even in the summer. Bring a sun hat if the forecast is for hot, dry weather.
A foam mat can come in handy for breaks and the lunch stop.
Food & drink
Bring a lunch and any snack foods you'll need to keep you going all day. It's recommended that you bring at least a litre of water, especially if the forecast is for warm and dry weather.
