Joining us for the Hull Social or just in the area anyway? Why not join OutdoorLads at Hull parkrun?
This is one of a number of events we have organised over the weekend of the Hull Social.
If you are planning to attend the walk or bouldering event today, we have allowed sufficient time to get to either of these once you have completed the run
About parkrun
While parkrun is a public event, if joining as part of OutdoorLads please do join this event page (and drop off it if you can no longer attend) so the leader knows who to expect and who to inform if there is a change of plans..
The course is 5000m (5km) long. This has been accurately measured by parkrun with a professional measuring wheel. It's run on paths and grass, although some sections of the course do accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.
The important bit... This is about personal goals. You run/walk at your own pace, don't be scared that you may be slower than other people. Some walk, some run, some jog, some do a combination of all three.
To take part in a parkrun and get your official time, you will need to have registered to receive your all important barcode. You will need to bring this barcode with you either printed or on your phone. Parkrun events are run nationwide and indeed internationally, so once you're signed up you can attend anywhere. If you don't have a barcode you can still run but won't get a time.
Please see under Location for meeting plans.

Dogs
parkrun allow one dog per person on a short lead (not extending). Running with more than one dog, extending leads or waist leads are not permitted at parkrun events. As a third party event, OutdoorLads does not have any control over this.

If you want to join the Outdoorlads' national group on the parkrun website, on your parkrun account select Profile, then groups and type "Outdoorlads (UK)" and click the Join button.
