Join us for a weekend of camping and walking in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Hardhurst Farm is a great campsite on a working farm in the popular Hope Valley. There will also be an opportunity to do some outdoor climbing at Stanage Edge. This activity is suitable for beginners - no previous climbing experience is necessary. If you would like to take part, please sign up on the separate event page, as numbers are limited and the activity will also be open to members who are not attending the camp.

Hope is ideally placed for access to some of the best walking the Peak District has to offer.  Options for walks include: the Great Ridge; Win Hill; Kinder Scout Plateau and Ladybower Reservoir. Choices of walks will depend on leader availability. We will aim to offer at least one walk on Saturday and a shorter walk, possibly ending with a pub lunch, on Sunday.

If you would prefer a more relaxed weekend, you can chill at the campsite, visit some of the nearby villages or take a trip to the caves in Castleton.

The Travellers Rest Pub is adjacent to the campsite. They serve great food and some may choose to eat there on Saturday evening.

Campsite Facilities

Facilities on the campsite clean and functional. There are plenty of warm showers. We are currently the only campers staying that weekend so we wont need to share facilities with many others.

For more information on campsite facilities, please review the "What to Bring" section below.

Hope station is only a short walk away, so the site is easily accessible by train from Manchester or Sheffield (see location details below).

Campervans, motorhomes and caravans

Campervans and small motorhomes can be accommodated on the tent camping field. Larger vehicles and caravans cannot be accommodated this time, sorry - the usual campsite area is closed.

Dogs: Well behaved dogs are allowed as long as they are kept on a lead and are looked after by their owners at all times.
