Start your Bank Holiday early and make it a four-dayer!  Join Friday Fells for an 8 mile (1,000m ascent) circular mountain walk from Grasmere to the summit of one of England's highest mountains.

From Grasmere, the climb is steep, but we'll soon be rewarded with fine views from Stone Arthur (503m), our first Wainwright of the day, from where we'll continue to climb to Great Rigg (766m) and Fairfield (873m), our second and third.  Fairfield is also the highest point of the day.  After enjoying the views (hopefully!), we'll drop steeply to Grisedale Tarn and clamber straight back up to the little visited, but very lovely, Seat Sandal (736m), which is our fourth and final Wainwright.  From there, it's a leisurely descent back to Grasmere with fine views all the way.

At the end of the day, we'll go for an optional drink at Tweedies Bar & Lodge in Grasmere.

You can find the planned route here, though we may vary this depending on the abilities and ambitions of the group and weather conditions.

Event full?  Please join the waiting list.  Places usually open up as the event gets nearer and, where necessary, we try to add additional leaders to increase the numbers, so you are highly likely to get a place.

New Members: Please feel free to join this as your first OutdoorLads event, do note that this walk is likely to require some experience. If you have any questions then feel free to message me, or go to the "My First Event" section under "About Us".

Is it dog friendly? Well-trained dogs are welcome but please note and abide by the Countryside Code. Please also remember not everyone loves dogs as much as you do so please be mindful of other members.
