East Weymss to Lower Largo
This is one of six planned linear walks over sections of the beautiful Fife Coastal Path.
We continue our series of walks starting in the old mining village of East Wemyss and walk eastwards towards the industrial towns of Buckhaven and Methil. We walk along the seawall passing the Weymss Caves and Macduff's Castle.
After leaving Methil we arrive in the seaside resort of Leven and onwards to Lundin Links and Lower Largo, the birthplace of Alexander Selkirk on whom Daniel Defoe based his novel Robinson Crusoe. Our walk ends in Lower Largo where there is a bus option to East Weymss, Leven and Kirkcaldy for onward travel.
