Event Description
Join us for a relaxing 4-mile circular walk around Farmoor Reservoir, a peaceful nature reserve just west of Oxford. This easy-going route follows the outer perimeter of the reservoir, combining open water views, countryside paths and a scenic stretch along the River Thames.
This will be the lovely Jeremy Mohamed's assessment event as he ventures to become a Leisure Walk leader for OutdoorLads. Your support for Jeremy is sought.
Along the way, we’ll pass through small woodland and wetland areas rich with wildlife – ducks, waders, wildfowl and maybe even a rare gull or two. There are several bird hides and information boards along the route for anyone who enjoys stopping to take in the sights.
We’ll finish at The Waterside Café, a lovely spot overlooking the water, where you can join for a well-earned coffee or brunch before heading home.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome on the outer perimeter path (the main walk), but please note they are not permitted on the inner reservoir area near the café, or in the cafe itself.
Photos taken by the co-leader 6th November 2025 and permission given to OutdoorLads for use.
