Highlights of the walk will be

  • Walking along the limestone pavements of Dalton and Hutton Roof Crags
  • Passing the Uberash Breast (part of this pavement)
  • Dropping down below Holmepark Fell
  • Ascending up to Farleton Knott with views across to the Lake District and the Howgills
  • From there we will see if we can find Turtle Rock an obviously named small boulder
  • We will head towards Hutton Roof past Hanging Scar a huge boulder/erratic that is defying gravity
  • Wander through Hutton Roof and return back to the car park
  • Afterwards if you fancy, we can all drive to  the Longlands pub en route back to the M6/A6
