A leisurely cycle in the White Peak area of the Peak District.

We will ride a full length of the Monsal Trail, and Bridleways to Rowsley, before returning along quiet lanes through several White Peak Villages including Youlgreave and Monyash.  After a cafe visit for refreshments in Monyash we have a choice of either on road or a slightly longer route along a section of the Tissington Trail and Pennine Bridleway.

We are in the Peak District, so we do have a reasonable amount of climbing, however this is generally on the road sections, approximately half the route is off road, but surfaces are generally good.

For this ride, Mountain Bike, Road, Gravel or Hybrid bike is suitable, surfaces are good on the off road sections. The length of the ride maybe a little challenging for Mountain Bikes with knobbly tyres.

Whilst the ascent may appear significant, we have plenty of time to take the climbs slowly and we will ride at the pace of the slowest, wait at the top of climbs, none of the climbs are excessively steep, but should you need to walk, no one we be left behind.

Should you have any questions about the route please message the leader.
