A circular walk around the St Ives Estate

7 places left
A gentle circular route from Bingley, to the St Ives estate.
Heading across the River Aire and up the steady climb toward Altar Lane we'll drop into the St Ives Estate, winding through woodland and open parkland before reaching the Coppice Pond. After looping around the pond, the return leg follows easy tracks back toward Bingley, finishing where we started.
We may stop at the Ivy Kitchen in St Ives for a coffee and cake, or there's and option of getting food and drink on our return.
Dogs: well-behaved dogs are very welcome on the walk, but must be under control at all times and on a lead where necessary. Please also remember not everyone loves dogs as much as you do.
If the event is fully booked: Please join the waiting list as people frequently drop out during the week before an event, and you are likely to get a place on the walk.
If this is your first OutdoorLads walk event: If this is your first event, we’ll make sure you feel welcomed. Please check out the My First Event page, and don’t hesitate to drop me a message if you have questions or want to know more about this walk.

What to bring
Water: Bring a suitable amount of water, bring more if it’s a hot day.
Medicines: If you have hay fever, diabetes, minor ailments etc.
Rucksack: A small backpack or similar.
Footwear: Although this is a shorter walk, sturdy walking shoes are recommended, as are proper walking socks as they'll keep your feet dry and prevent blisters. Sturdy trainers will also be fine.
Clothing: Dress for the weather, and if it’s cold or wet bring extra layers so you can adapt as we progress. Waterproofs are recommended for wet days, and if it’s wet try to avoid wearing jeans which will become heavy and cold.
Hat or cap: Hats will keep you protected from the sun and wind.
Sunglasses: For any sunny day, even in winter.
Sun cream: Can be useful even on cloudy days.
Snacks: Bring snacks to keep you going through. As it’s a short walk we won’t be stopping for lunch but bring what you need.
Food & drink
Bring snacks to keep you going. We may stop at a cafe part way through the walk though or grab lunch after the walk.
There are no shops or toilets at Bingley Station.
