Central London 2019 Christmas Lights and Social

Join us for a 5-6 km stroll around Central London to see some of the best Christmas Lights and Shop Window displays the capital has to offer this year.
We'll start on Piccadilly at 4pm with mulled wine and ginger biscuits to set us off, and finish somewhere near Soho/Covent Garden around 7pm (depending on how long we stop at each location) where we can find somewhere to have a drink together.
Sign up and come along even if you can't join us from the beginning of the walk, as I'll let everyone attending know my phone number so you can always call me, find out where we are at any point, and come join us en-route.
There are plenty of opportunities to grab something to eat or drink as you walk - we'll be passing several take away cafes and street food options for sure.
We'll check which Christmas lights are particularly good this year so we don't miss anything spectacular, and we'll likely see as many as possible of:
- Fortnum and Mason's windows
- New Bond Street and its store displays
- Selfridges' windows
- Oxford Street and its store displays
- John Lewis's windows
- Regent Street and its store displays
- Hamley's toy shop displays
- Liberty's windows
- Carnaby Street and its store displays
- Leicester Square
- Trafalgar Square and the Norwegian Christmas Tree
- The Strand and its store displays
- Covent Garden and the Opera House
- Seven Dials and its store displays
- Compton Street
Photos are mostly of the 2018 London lights and windows, with a few from this year also included (you'll have to work out which ones for yourself by coming along!)
What to bring
Nothing special required, dress for the weather on the day.
Food & drink
There's a complimentary hot mulled wine at the start of the walk, and then on the way around there will be opportunity to grab something to eat either from one of the many cafes we'll pass or from one of the street vendors that pop up selling seasonal snacks.
