This is a great opportunity to hone those Bear Grylls skills you've always fancied developing, whilst still being able to go back to a comfortable tent and bed. (Please note Bear Grylls does not actually come with either of these offers)

The weekend includes a full day of Bushcraft training. Provided by qualified trainers we will work through a range of activities throughout the day, spending as much time on each as the participants want on subjects like; shelter building, fire lighting, knife skills, water purification, wood lore and, depending on demand in the group, there is an extra option of skinning and cooking meat.

For those who don't need to rush off, on the Sunday there is an optional walk up Mam Tor and Sunday lunch at a good pub in Castleton.

The bushcraft activity is at Whaley Bridge, and we will car share to get there on Saturday morning from the campsite near Castleton.

We have eight allocated parking places at the campsite; once there are eight OutdoorLads cars on site, any later arrivals will need to find alternative parking in the village and pay for it if necessary. There is parking in the village at the Visitor Centre and at the railway station. Any lifts from station or other parking will be arranged by the leader.

Please let Ade have any questions about this activity
