What is the Werk-Room?

Before we hit the stage for our Icons Karaoke in the clubhouse, we’re opening up the ultimate backstage space to help you transform. Whether you’re channeling a legendary gay icon, dressing as a famous world landmark, or even your favorite app it better be iconic! The Werk-Room is all about getting ready together and making sure everyone looks their absolute best for the big night.

Get Ready Together

Don't struggle in your tent with a handheld mirror! Bring your costume to the Werk-Room and enjoy a social hour of prep:

• A Helping Hand: Need someone to zip up the back of a tricky outfit or adjust a wig? We’ve got your back.
• Makeup & Face Paint: OutdoorLads won't be providing shared face paints or cosmetics for this session. We’ve made this decision to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and to avoid any pesky allergic reactions. However, please do bring your own along! This is the perfect space to show off your kit, swap application tips, or borrow a specific shade from a friend.
• The Spare Box: Missed the memo or your costume didn't survive the journey? Come take a look at our selection of spare fancy dress items and accessories to pull together a last-minute look.
• Pre-Catwalk Banter: Start the party early and get those "iconic" photos before the karaoke madness begins.

Some "Iconic" Ideas?

Stuck for inspiration? Think outside the box:

• Gay Icons: Go full glam as Lady Gaga, Madonna, or Sir Elton John. 
• Famous Landmarks: Think big! Come as the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, or even a Stonehenge monolith.
• App Icons: Why not come as a literal digital icon? Represent the apps we all know (and some we hide in folders) like Grindr, Sniffies, Recon, or even the X (formerly Twitter) logo.
