It’s the most chilled event on the schedule! There are no leaderboards, no fitness requirements, and no risk of falling over on the grass. It's a low-impact, high-social way to spend your afternoon—come and go as you please!

This is one of the events organised as part of Big Spring Camp 2026.

What is the Board Games & Socialising Session?

Looking for a break from the high-octane action on the field? Whether you're a strategic mastermind or just here for the "horrible" jokes, our board games session is the ultimate social hub. We’ve set aside a dedicated space for members to gather, challenge each other, and keep the banter flowing. It’s the perfect way to make new friends without breaking a sweat!

What to expect?

OutdoorLads will be providing a massive haul of games to get the party started. You can expect a mix of the classics, the competitive, and the downright hilarious:

  • Cards Against Humanity: The ultimate icebreaker—prepare to find out exactly how twisted your fellow campers really are.
  • Jenga: Test your steady hand. Just try to keep it upright longer than your last "shuttle-cock" match!
  • Poker & Card Games: High stakes (for bragging rights only) and classic card play.
  • Dobble: A fast-paced test of your reflexes—perfect for those with a sharp eye.
  • Monopoly: For when you want to ruin friendships over fake real estate.
  • Chess & Guess Who: Put your brain to work with some head-to-head strategy.
  • ...and many more!

Bring Your Own Games

While we have a variety of games already provided, we’d love to see what’s in your collection! If you have a niche favourite or a game you're dying to play, please bring it along. The more variety we have, the better the session.

Who’s running the session?

This will be a member-led session. While the Big Events Team will have everything set up and ready for you, the session is all about the members. It’s a chance to meet new people, challenge your mates to a game of Cards Against Humanity, and enjoy the social atmosphere at your own pace.

Don't worry if you haven't booked! Feel free to just turn up and join us if you're at a loose end for the afternoon. There's always a spare seat at the table.
