This is one of the events organised as part of Big Spring Camp 2026.
Join Mike for a 7 mile walk starting Morfa Aber Bird sanctuary surrounded by salt marshes, hopefully we'll spot an oyster catcher or two. Then we'll follow the coastal path heading inland towards Abergwyngregyn gently climbing up alongside the Afon Rhaeadr-fawr river to the spectacular Rhaedr Fawr / Aber Falls one of the most beautifu waterfalls in Wales. We'll also check out the other cascades nearby including Rhaedr-Bach which is surrounded by iron age remains and panoramic views of the valley and the sea.
Then we'll head back to the village and onto visit Aber Falls Distillery Visitor centre which offers gin and whisky tours & tastings; and have a "diferyn bach" (Welsh for wee dram).
