BNC 2025: Challenging Mountain Walk

This event is part of the OutdoorLads BIG North Christmas 2025 Weekend and is intended for those attending this event.

Join us for a full-on mountain day in the heart of the Lake District as part of Big North Christmas. This route is designed for experienced and confident walkers: expect steep ascents, rocky terrain, exposed sections and a sustained day on the hill. We’ll take in some of the area’s most dramatic ridgelines and summits, rewarded throughout with outstanding winter views (weather permitting!).

Please come prepared for a serious mountain day: warm layers, waterproofs, hat and gloves, plenty of food and water, and sturdy boots are essential. Depending on conditions, leaders may also require participants to carry additional winter kit.

If you’re looking for a big, challenging walk to round off the year with great company, this is the one.
