There will be a range of rides on offer, so you can choose from easier to harder

You are cordially invited to join the UKs first queer festival of the bicycle!  This will be run in conjunction with a whole range of other LGBT bike groups and is supported by Rapha and All In Racing.  There will be a whole range of cycles offered across the weekend - road and gravel are the name of the game.  There will also be some social events across the weekend, so it should be  a great way to get some miles in and meet some new people.  They plan to cater for most abilities - if you are used to cycling at least 40km on a road/gravel mix then there should be a ride for you.  If you are a super-fast road demon then that's no problem either - I am reliably informed there will be some advanced level rides too.

This event is being run by the BikeOut team, but OutdoorLads are an invited member group.  You will, however, have to register directly with the festival itself in order to attend the events: you can do so at this link

https://bikeout.cc/

You can also sign up here, on the outdoorlads website, so that we know who is coming from OutdoorLads and to help co-ordinate some social events over the course of the weekend.

There are cycles planned for both the Saturday and Sunday of the weekend.  There will also be an introductory, social event on the Friday night.

Bike hire is possible from AlpKit in Hathersage - please contact and arrange this early.

There are lots of accommodation options in the area -the bikeout website has details of them.  I, however, will be staying at North Lees campsite - https://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/visiting/things-to-do/camping/camping-northlees

This has both pods and camping pitches, and has the advantage of being the base for the rapha team for the weekend and also the planned site of a Saturday night pizza/bbq event.  The website says that you can take a campervan, but they don't have hard parking or electric hook-up - you need to park it in a standard parking space.
