An arduous day - 30km and 900m ascent.

Head to Deeside and join OutdoorLads in the heart of Cairngorms National Park for a day walk to Beinn a' Chaorainn & Beinn Bhreac.

The route is (mostly) circular, we start with a fairly gentle walk through from Linn of Dee to around 1.5km north of Derry Lodge where we will fork right up to Beinn Bhreac at 931m. Continuing northwards we will ascend Beinn a' Chaorainn at 1083m before dropping down into Glen Derry (there may be a river crossing depending on the level of rainfall) and making our way back south to Linn of Dee.

Distance - 30km.

Total ascent - 900m.

Please see What to Bring for the essentials in terms of Scottish weather gear, don't forget a head torch as the hours of daylight dwindle at this time of year.
