Ancient Sherwood Forest Major Oak - Day Walk

3 places left
Probably the most famous resident of Sherwood Forest (after Robin Hood, of course), the iconic Major Oak is an ancient giant that absolutely cannot be missed. We will head into the Heart of Sherwood Forest on this walk and with its many off-road tracks it is a good place to walk around and see the remains of Robin Hood’s medieval Sherwood Forest.
We start at Kings Clipstone and with its remains of the palace and royal hunting park, Kings Clipstone is the place to head for if you are interested in Sherwood Forest’s royal connections.
