The walk begins in the town of Petworth, a quaint market town in the heart of the South Downs National Park. We will immediately head into Petworth Park for a short distance before passing through the small village of Tillington, with its fascinating and unusual church tower. We then pass through meadows and a vineyard as we head towards the sleepy village of Lodsworth. We will stop there for refreshments at the Hollist Arms, and then begin the walk back towards Petworth Park skirting some attractive woodland. We go back into the park via the little-known about Upperton Gate, then finish by waling a grand loop through the Park, taking in its beautiful scenery and deer herd, and views of Petworth House, before heading back into the town of Petwoorth where the walk will end.
