For September, the West Sussex Social returns to its spiritual and original home of Chichester. Social events provide a support network for local members. They are an ideal way for existing members to catch up with each other and find out more about upcoming events.
Join us for a relaxed, friendly evening in The Duke & Rye pub set within a Victorian church right opposite Chichester Cathedral.
According to the pub's website, "The small and unassuming front door may mislead most customers coming to the pub. But... The Duke & Rye is one of the most amazing venues in Chichester. Built for £5,650 in 1848–52, and highly regarded by Pevsner, this Gothic Revival stone church stands opposite the cathedral and is now more highly regarded for its Pilsner, Rye Pale Ale & many many more beers! The Duke & Rye is the perfect place to come for a first date, last date, group date or just with a mate."
The pub is easily accessible on foot from Chichester railway station - a ten-minute, flat walk.
