Starting from the Waggon and Horses pub we'll head up toward Mottram Rise's where on a good day, great views of Manchester and the surrounding moors can be seen. Shortly we'll get to see the first of our five reservoirs - Walkerwood. Passing through Cock Wood its on to Brushes, Lowerswine and Upper Swineshore reservoir where we'll stop for a bite to eat and admire the views.

There's a bit of a climb before its all down hill, towards Swallow's Wood with Arnfield Reservoir sparkling as we approach. Following the Pennine Bridleway we take a leisurely stroll back to the pub, ready for a well earned pint.
