Those registered on the Cliff Top Camp have an open invite to this event.
A jewel in the crown of North Pembrokeshire, Whitesands Bay, or Porthmawr (Big Harbour) in Welsh, is a large expanse of pale gold sand with Blue Flag status and a reputation as one of the finest surfing beaches in the country.
Looking west towards the rugged archipelago known as the ‘Bishops and Clerks’, it is in a beautiful location and, with a cafe and summer lifeguards, it’s well-equipped for all manner of seaside experiences and activities.
We will set off from the Porthclais Campsite and head across country to Pemborkeshires No1 surf spot of Whitesands Bay. Here we will break for a few hours where you can Sunbathe, Swim or if feeling more energetic hire Surfboards and Shred some waves - Equipment hire at Ma Simes
Once done we’ll Pootle back to Porthclais in time for BBQ’s & Beers….
What to bring
If you fancy a paddle, bring swimming costume and/or wetsuit.
It is possible to hire surfboards on Beach - Equipment hire at Ma Simes
Food & drink
Bring some lunch/water, there is a Cafe on the beach.
