Big skies and ever changing wildlife make the evocative landscape of Spurn one of the Yorkshire's most iconic nature reserves which is cut off from the mainland at high tide.
We will carefully follow this coastline to the newly restored lighthouse which is over a century old. There we can enjoy a packed lunch in isolation with nature. We also have the opportunity to climb the winding flight of stone steps for an amazing panoramic birds-eye view of the Spurn (ticket £4). This is an ideal location to spot seals and numerous birdlife, an unspoilt wonder of Yorkshire for us to enjoy before we return safely to the mainland before the tide comes in!
Please note: dogs are not allowed at Spurn, in order to protect the sensitive wildlife and habitats.
Check out my other two events taking place this Bank Holiday weekend in Yorkshire see: odl.to/damo. I will be staying at YHA Dalby Forest Friday-Sunday night if you wish to join me, but spaces at the hostel are very limited so book now!
