Ski season is almost here; so dust off them salopettes and strap on them monster boots - for we are headed to the slopes, for an evening ski (or snowboard) sess with the fabulous ODLers....!!
Ok so whilst Chill Factore is not the Alps, it does provide us with a real snow experience and is good fun for a couple of hours plus there is a nice pub - Castle in the Air - for some Apres ski socialising.
So the plan is meet at the reception at 8pm for starting at 7.00pm - its £27 for 1 hour which includes ski / snowboard, boots and lift pass - pay at reception - or book in advance at https://www.chillfactore.com/ski-and-snowboard/recreational-lift-passes/...
Or come along to watch, which is free!
Then after our hours up, we'll retreat to 'Castle in the Air' for a hot gluhwein and to boast how we caught some air on that last run down!
Click here for information and prices if you need also to rent clothing / gloves
Please note that you should have some skiing or snowboarding experience and must meet the centre's minimum recreational main slope standard. Also note we - ODL cannot instruct new beginners - we are not allowed to and have no insurance to do so. This activity is for competent skiers / snowboarders.
OutdoorLads will be holding a number of ski/snowboard sessions throughout the coming months so whether you're a seasoned professional or can barely master a snowplough turn, there'll be plenty of fun to have.
What to bring
You will need to bring your own ski clothing, however you can hire sallpetes and a ski jacket at the centre for an additional cost.
OutdoorLads recommends a ski helmet is worn for your own safety.
Food & drink
After the event we can go to the nearby pub for a drink, or to one of the restaurants at the complex for a bit of food.
