Join Marty & Jason in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales at Kettlewell Hostel as spring bursts through the winter gloom.
Daffodils, Snowdrops, gambolling lambs and the twitter of returning birdlife in the beautiful hills, moors and valley`s of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The small stone village of Kettlewell sits astride the tumbling River Wharfe surrounded by rounded hills and moors overlooked by the "4th Peak of the Dales" Great Whernside. The Hostel is in the heart of the Village and includes the local Post Office! Now an independent family run operation at arms length from the YHA it has undergone an extensive internal refurbishment providing a bright modern interior and facilities and hands on personalised management.
The potential for activities from this base are extensive. A plethora of walks and paths to suit all abilities and challenges and we are promoting this event as a joint Walking and Cycling activity weekend with numerous Mountain Biking and Road Cycling routes close by (including the route used by the Tour de France in 2015). The hostel has a large secure Cycle Store. Peter, our NW Cycling Co-ordinator is on board to organise these activities and there is a seperate Event page for Bikers to sign up. http://www.outdoorlads.com/event/malham-moor-mountain-biking
