The marshes and mudflats of North Kent are not everybody's idea of beautiful scenery, but there is a certain calm in this bleak, remote landscape. We will head across orchards and farmland past Luddenham church towards Oare creek. Here we head north to the Swale, the body of water separating the Kentish mainland from the Isle of Sheppey. Following the Swale west for around five miles we head inland again along Conyer Creek, where we will stop for a drink at the Ship Inn, before returning to Teynham station.
Food & drink
Bring a packed lunch and enough water for the day. We will stop at a pub about one mile before the end so bring some cash for a drink.
