Join Adrian to walk off the excesses of Christmas (before the excesses of New Year's Eve!) on this classic Peak District route. This walk combines limestone upland with a deep cliff-lined river gorge, with plenty of industrial archeology.
The walk follows the River Wye up Chee Dale, then ultiamtely to the impressive Monsall Head, with its spectacual views. We then head via the Monsall Viaduct to the textile mill village of Cressbrook and the amazingly named Water-Cum-Jolly-Dale.
Food & drink
Please bring a packed lunch with you. Although we may pass some shops and cafes en route, due to the time of year they may well be closed.
There will be an optional pub stop at the end of the walk.
