London to Southend

On the first day of British Summer time, another pleasure pedal out to the seaside from an easy to get to London start. 93km or 58 miles.
Then it's out to the wide open vistas of the Thames and on into Essex. We make our way to the coast along quiet lanes, arriving for a late lunch by the sea.
Whilst relatively flat, this ride is about 60 miles and is suitable for regular cyclists with a road bike or road hybrid. If you're a regular commuter, or someone who has found Any one Any Bike rides a little short, this should be the perfect introduction to road cycling.
Food & drink
Bring drinks (water) and snacks. The plan is to have lunch at a pub either on route or in Southend. Bring a packed lunch if you prefer.
