A short, easy hill-walk in the Campsie Fells, suitable for novices.

The Campsie Fells are a range of hills formed by lava flows from the Carboniferous period, lying just to the north of Glasgow. The southern edges of the range form some steep escarpments which makes them look quite imposing, but they are actually mostly easy hills to climb with rewarding views across the greater Glasgow conurbation.

Our walk is public transport-freindly, starting at the X85 bus terminus and will follow a steep path up Campsie Glen onto the B822 (known as the 'Crow Road') before climbing up onto Lecket Hill (547m), then southwards onto Cort-ma Law (531m) before following the top of an escarpment to complete the circuit and return down Campsie Glen.

The terrain will be mostly on narrow paths or grassy slopes with a few short steep climbs and is suitable for those with limited or no hill-walking experience.
